Daniel has worked in greenkeeping for over 25 years, building a reputation for exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail. After 14 years at Woodhall Spa Golf Club, including six as First Assistant on the renowned Hotchkin Course, he became Head Greenkeeper at Newquay Golf Club in 2014.
Holding an HND in Countryside Management and NVQs in Sportsturf from Myerscough College, Daniel is passionate about delivering consistent, high-quality playing surfaces through sound agronomy and sustainable practices. His commitment to environmental stewardship earned him the 2022 Golf Environment Award for Operation Pollinator and a 2023 finalist spot for Conservation Greenkeeper of the Year.
Fun fact: Away from the course, Daniel enjoys Prawn Cocktail crisps and once had the unforgettable experience of meeting West Indies cricket legend Brian Lara behind the 14th green at Augusta in 2012
